Prayer

What an important area to discuss, and to share how the Lord has led you to pray, and the impact of those prayers!  We want to give you two options to talk about this topic.

1)  Read a great book on prayer and through it to be challenged and encouraged on how God can use each woman to make a huge difference through her prayers.  Our suggested books on prayer are Teach me to Pray by Andrew Murray and Fervent: A Woman's Battle Plan to Serious, Specific and Strategic Prayer by Priscilla Shirer.

2)  Use a book that talks about prayer life as a devotional.  This will also continue the emphasis on developing intimacy with God.  In this second approach, the homework assignment asks each woman to read The Power of a Praying Woman devotionally . . . to read one chapter a day, meditate on the truths, and journal from it.   This book shows women how to effectively cover their lives in prayer so more of God can flow in and through their lives, and is a good tool to help them get established in a daily quiet time (if they're not already) . . .  and come away encouraged to be a woman who prays!!

As Mentors, we've been praying for a long time.  We've experienced the joy of seeing prayers answered, and our faith grow as we've seen God answer our prayers.  Sometimes, we've experienced God answer our prayers differently than we had hoped, yet can see His amazing love, wisdom, and care as we look back.  You have the opportunity to share how you've grown in your prayer life, and wisdom on how to practically incorporate prayer into our daily lives.

Prayer is one of the greatest gifts our Heavenly Father has given us.  May this be a month where each woman's vision is enlarged for how God can use her life to make "His Kingdom come on earth as it is in heaven."
